I might get better at this. I actually started to take more photos so I can write about everything relevant this week.

Lets start with music.

2022 is still heavy rotating with several rounds through High Vis and Natalia Lafourcade. I still dig through some of the yearly reviews from many different sources and I still find new stuff I haven’t heard before. High Vis also dropped another video a few weeks ago which really fits the the tone of the album. That record is a postum “in the top5 of 2022” for me!

The first bought album this year is the new Fucked Up – One Day. FU have a special spot in my heart and I think this album delivers again. Speaking of delivering: Why the fuck do ecommerce shops ask me about my continent (US/EU) when they still send the records from the US? At least all the money went straight to the band (I hope).

We also have new songs from Sleaford Mods upcoming new album and one very big surprise from slowthai which really boosts my mood. Can’t wait for that album to drop 3rd March!

And finally, something I never dreamed of happening again: a new The Robocop Kraus song. There are not many German bands which I really like but TRC are one of them. And they make new music!

2022 was one of the first years where I actively started to search for new music again. It kinda stopped when the kid was born. It feels like a restart of a long forgotten hobby. Bring me all the good stuff, Anthony Fantano! I’m ready for it.

What else? Food!

We had Nachos and Veggie chicken burgers again. This time I took a photo! We also tried some fancy instant coffee which was ok. My problem is, I only drink coffee with a lot of milk. At that level of milk, all coffee tastes the same. Sorry James Hoffmann.

Let’s talk about EDC.

I don’t leave the house often but when I do, I take my EDC with me. This week, I went to the office twice and this was also a good chance to checkout my kit again.

What is in (top left to bottom right)

• Bellroy Wallet – I don’t find it on the Bellroy website. Maybe they dropped that line. I really like it because it is super small but can still carry 6-8 cards, some coins and a few notes.
• Key chain with 3 keys, car keys (yes, a Volvo), The James Brand Elko knife and a Orbitkey Multitool (ruler, bottle opener).
• Seiko Series 5 with a custom black/silver NATO strap.
• RayBan Wayfarer (with correction).
• AirPods Pro (v1)
• A little EDC bag from Etsy which fits everything of the small stuff (thank you, Mrs. Fredericson)
• Field Notes
• Leica M10-R with Summicron 50mm f2 and a Tiffen Mist filter
• The Folsom from The James Brand – DDC Special Edition pocket knife in DDC orange.
• Leatherman P2.
• Random Flashlight (Amazon).
• Tooth picker – titanium (Amazon).
• A little EDC container which fits 3 pills. Emergency Omeprazol for me (another present from Mrs. Fredericson). The brand is Dango (made in USA).
• Caran d’ache pen with engraving (Mrs. Fredericson again)
• Comp (Carbon Fiber)
• LightPix Lab flash.

Where all of this is located depends on the jacket or bag I wear. I have many different bags, slings, backpacks, shoulder bags, tote bags … but this is a story for another time.

What ELSE?

Went to the docs and will continue doing so the next week. One of them has a balcony where you can watch the parking lot of a local hospital. It is a blast! It is better then any movie or show you could watch. Total car and parking mayhem. I do a allergen immunotherapy which requires me to wait for 30min after the injection. I can’t leave the doc’s office but I can stay on that balcony. The goal is to reduce my reaction to pollen with a weekly injection of a special cocktail of seeds(?). I’m already at the end of my therapy with only one visit left. I will miss that balcony even if it is a cold day like this Wednesday! Gonna have a check of my ear again next week and I am really looking forward to that one. Stay tuned.

WHAT ELSE?!

Oh and I wanted to try anal..log photography again. I still have a bunch of film rolls in my fridge. 120 and 135. Some of them are not even made anymore! So I needed a camera and found this special little thing here:
